How To Install Deering Nylon Strap

The Deering Nylon Strap is a great banjo strap for your Goodtime Banjo or any lightweight banjo. The instruction for attaching the strap is as follows.
  1. Each end of the strap is fitted with a “Chicago style” screw and brad which are easily removed.
  2. Remove the screw and brad from the leather fitting.
  3. If you think of the banjo head as the face of a clock, with the Deering Eagle logo as twelve o’clock, choose the hooks at 2 o’clock and 5 o’clock for your initial fitting of the strap. J Hooks are also known as a bracket; you will find 16 of them around the banjo.
  4. Fit the slender leather end through the space between the hook and the rim of your banjo. Once you have slipped it through the space, reattach the screw and brad to secure the strap to the banjo.
  5. Adjust the buckle on the strap itself to the desired length. If you need more length, try using any one of the other hooks on the banjo rim until you find the best personal fit.
