Doing a setup on your banjo at home can be a daunting task. The key to successfully setting up your banjo is the right set of tools. Having the correct tools set out in front of you will lessen the stress and get you back up and picking your banjo quickly.
- Tuner
- String winder
- Philips head screwdriver (for truss rod cap removal)
- Flat blade screwdriver (for tailpiece angle adjustment)
- 1/4" T-wrench (for head adjustment and tailpiece attachment nut)
- 9/32" needed for head adjustment on Boston and some Vega models
- 1/4" truss rod wrench or nut driver
- 0.010" feeler gauge (for measuring neck relief)
- Capo (for checking neck relief)
- 1/2" open-ended wrench (co-rod nut adjustment)
- Small 7/64" allen wrench (for the co-rod center holes, to hold rod in place during adjustment)
- Small 6" ruler (measuring action)
